Hearing Aids We Can Service
Hearing aids are built to last, but like any technology, they benefit from regular maintenance and occasional repairs. Whether your device is producing feedback, cutting in and out, or simply not sounding as clear as it used to, our team can help. We provide hearing aid repair services at our Lakewood clinic and through our mobile audiology visits throughout the Denver metro area.

Hearing Aids We Can Reprogram
Your hearing naturally changes over time, and even small shifts can make your hearing aids seem less effective. You may not need new devices—often a quick cleaning, adjustment, or reprogramming is all it takes to get you hearing your best again.
We carry the manufacturer software and programming equipment needed to service hearing aids from the following brands:
- Phonak
- Unitron
- Resound
- Widex
- Oticon
- Starkey
- Signia
If your hearing aids need reprogramming, we recommend having a hearing test completed (or one within the past 6 months) so we can adjust your devices according to your current hearing levels. We use Real Ear Measurement to verify that your hearing aids are amplifying sound accurately for your prescription.

Hearing Aids We Can Clean and Check
We are happy to perform cleaning and visual inspections on devices that we cannot reprogram. This includes:
Hearing aids purchased from Costco:
- Philips
- Jabra
- Rexton
Over-the-counter hearing devices
While we cannot adjust the programming on these devices, a professional cleaning can often resolve issues caused by earwax buildup or debris in the microphone and speaker ports.
Hearing Aid Maintenance Tips
Taking care of your hearing aids at home will help extend their lifespan and keep them performing well between visits. Here are a few simple habits to follow:
- Remove your hearing aids before applying hairspray, lotion, perfume, or aftershave, as these products can damage the electronics.
- Wipe your hearing aids daily with a soft, dry cloth to remove earwax, dirt, and moisture.
- Store your hearing aids in a cool, dry place when not in use. If you have battery-powered devices, open the battery door overnight to preserve battery life.
- Clean the receiver tube and dome regularly with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

Troubleshooting at Home
Before bringing your hearing aids in for service, there are a few things you can try:
- Check the microphone, speaker, and vent openings for blockages.
- Look for corrosion in the battery compartment.
- Clean the shell with a soft cloth.
- Use a hearing aid brush to clear debris from all openings.
- Replace the wax filter if your device uses one.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, contact us. We have the tools and expertise to get your hearing aids working properly again. For more serious problems, we can send your devices to the manufacturer for repair
Repair Costs
If your hearing aids are still under warranty, most repairs will be covered or cost very little. In-house services like tubing replacement, deep cleaning, and minor adjustments are typically affordable.
For devices that need to be sent to the manufacturer and are no longer under warranty, costs will vary depending on the type of repair. Structural issues like cracked or missing parts tend to be more expensive to fix than internal component repairs.
